z/OS unmap from the CU image list view

Unisphere supports the z/OS unmapping of CU images.

Prerequisites

The storage system must be running HYPERMAX OS 5977 Q1 2016.

NOTE:

Before making any mapping changes to an existing CU image, ensure that all the devices in the CU are offline (the status of the CU should be offline).

About this task

To unmap a CU image from the CU image list view:

Steps

Select the storage system.
Select Hosts > Mainframe to open the mainframe dashboard.
Click CU Images.
Select the CU image that you want to unmap. Click z/OS Unmap.
The CU Image Unmap dialog box displays.
Select one or more volumes to unmap from the CU image.
Do one of the following:
- Click Run Now to perform the operation now.
- Expand Run Now and click Add to Job List to add this task to the job list, from which you can schedule or run the task at your convenience. For more information, see Schedule jobs and Preview jobs.
